I use "Jafo" as a nickname (Which stands for "J"ust "A"nother "F"u##ing "O"bserver) because I liked the movie it came from (Blue Thunder) and I use the pseudonym Jock McBile instead of my real name in honour of the names creator, the late John Morgan of the Royal Canadian Air Farce. Yeah, there sure is something wrong with this picture. It's all of the un-informed commentators out there chastising the Judge in this case.
From what I understand from previous stories on this case the two parents are more immature than the girl. If the girl had been posting inappropriate pictures of herself on the net the Judge and the Police would have been legally compelled to act.
As it is what seems to have happened is the father and mother both despise each other.
Sounds very similar to what happened to my mother and father when they split up. My father retained custody of my brother and I, not because he wanted us. But because with us in his custody my mother wouldn't have a claim to his pay cheque via child support.
My father to this day is very adamant that I was conceived so that she could trap him into a marriage that he didn't want and that my birth ruined his military career. And it was that last part which lead to ten years of pure agony. And yes, he and my step mother would pull all sorts of games and blame my mother. And my mother would in turn play all sorts of games and blame my father and step mother.
And before anyone claims that I'm taking one side over the other, I haven't spoken to my mother since '90 and I haven't spoken to my dad since '92
looking back on it all, I just wish my father would have been wearing a condom the night I was conceived.
