And waiting for the writ to be dropped before filing your nomination papers with Elections Canada seems a tad behind the times considering i've already had a call from a candidate in my federal electoral district.
And Gary must have the $1,000 dollar deposit to file, so I guess living off donations must be pretty lucrative to be able to afford to plunk down that kind of loot for 15 minutes of fame and the opportunity to take a dump on the government for the people, at least the people that actually support Gary McHale.
Look for about 125 to 200 votes to swing his way from disgruntled constituents who are sick of Native blockades in their town Caledonia, where Gary is barred by court order. Gary lives in Binbrook, not Haldimant County.
Considering the antics of his past, it would surprise me if he got even close to 150 votes. During interviews on CHCH he constantly interrupted the hosts, he doesn't really seem to have the right personna for politics plus trying to read some of his writing leaves a lot to be desired. He usually comes across as someone who hasn't got a clue and I wouldn't want him representing me for anything. On top of that, with the amount of support Diane Findley received during the last election, his attempt at office looks like nothing more than an exercise in futility.
As for the $1,000.00 needed to file, I'll have to take your word on that as I don't know all that is required to run for office for anything. There are so many idiots, from the P.M.'s office all the way down the line, that I just don't have that much interest in political games. I was a staunch Liberal supporter for years but got tired of their crap so I switched to N.D.P. Would never support a party whose idea of the perfect man for P.M. is someone like Harper.
I use "Jafo" as a nickname (Which stands for "J"ust "A"nother "F"u##ing "O"bserver) because I liked the movie it came from (Blue Thunder) and I use the pseudonym Jock McBile instead of my real name in honour of the names creator, the late John Morgan of the Royal Canadian Air Farce. As Jock would say..."Aw, git stuffed".

I wonder if Binbrook could use a new dog catcher.
